Since hair transplantation is not an official category which is eligible to receive this acknowledgement, a physician would need to be certified in dermatology or plastic surgery.
- Photos or videos of results that they have achieved for other patients they had performed work on in the past.
- Number of years of experience. While there is no magic number which immediately qualifies a doctor as having the necessary experience to perform successful hair transplant procedures, it is still important for patients to discern between a novice versus a skilled practitioner with an extensive history
