Q. What has been your experience with FUE Transection in patients of African descent?
A. With conventional FUE hair transplant rotary cutting tools, FUE transection in patients of African descent can be very high.  This means that there is a much greater chance of incurring damage to the hair follicles with rotary surgical instruments.  For those with severe baldness or who require more extensive hair repair procedures, damaged grafts are an unacceptable waste of donor resources. Dr U recommend that practitioners using conventional rotary or rotational tools first conduct a test procedure before committing the patient to a large surgery session that may result in mostly damaged grafts and ultimately poor growth outcomes. If the transection rate from the test is over 10%, the procedure should be reconsidered.

ENTER UPUNCH CURL INVENTED BY DR U

Dr U Has invented a punch that works specifically to extract any and all Afro textured hairs including the curliest and most tightly attached hair follicles.

AFro textured hair fue difficulty is mostly attributed to 2 factors:

  1. Hair Shaft curliness
  2. Skin’s texture and the relationship between the hair follicle and the tissue which surrounds it.

The new invention by Dr U circumvents these obstacles to consistently extract all Afro textured hair with minimal transection rates.

The poor growth from previous surgeries was reversed using an appropriate number of FUE grafts inserted into the sparse areas of the frontal scalp.*
