Recipient area scabs will take between 7 and 14 days to come off.  Donor  wound scabs take about 5-7 days to clear. There are normal time frames for healing and results of UGraft FUE hair transplant procedure.

Inside of the first two months following a hair surgery, it is quite normal for hair shafts to fall out. This does not mean that the follicles themselves have dislodged. But rather the hair shafts which are not necessary for regrowth are lost, however the stem cells which are needed for regrowth have been planted and secure.

Around the fourth month, small hair sproutings will become apparent. The overall growth at this point will look patchy and sparse.  And in the months to come, this will appear more evenly distributed in appearance. Results will start to emerge even more strongly around the seventh to tenth month. And the full manifestation of the hair transplant outcome will be evident by about 18 months.

Results of a hair transplant procedure

If there is absolutely no growth by the tenth month, this may be an issue to pay close attention to, although conclusions should not be made just yet. In some cases, there can be delayed growth. However, if there is no growth by the twelfth month, this can be a major indication that the follicles did not survive. And this issue should be addressed with the surgeon who performed the hair restoration procedure.
