Hair Loss Level:

Patient with NW3 level of hair loss wanted restoration using less grafts and with no use of head donor, also known as body hair to head transplant.

Surgery:

Using SFET, Dr Umar performed FUE – body hair to head transplant, with only nape hair, beard and chest hair to restore the hairline, temples and frontal scalp as well as the crow of the patient. The patient is happy with his result and still has an untouched head donor.

There are patients who have specific requests as is the case here. The patient was made aware that even though Dr. Umar is able to utilize non head hair in transplantation, he still considers head hair to be the first port of call in terms of donor. The patient fully aware of this wanted the surgery performed as aforementioned. He is happy with the outcome since his expectations were all met.

Dr. Umar performs body hair to head transplant using a process he calls Single Follicle Extraction and Transfer (SFET) or Umar Procedure. SFET is his version of the procedure commonly referred to as Follicular Unit Extraction ( FUE ).
