Many treatments for hair loss fall short and in some instance have resulted in disastrous outcomes. This patient tried several treatments for hair loss, which resulted in botched outcomes that worsened his loss of hair, leaving him scarred and deformed. At other clinics, he’d tried the double flap procedure, several scalp reductions, and the “strip harvesting” method.

These treatments for hair loss all left the patient with worse results and further loss of hair.

The patient presented to Dr. Umar for hair transplant repair using the body hair transplant technique that he perfected. Because his past surgeries had depleted his head donor supply, Dr. Umar had to resort to the use of body and beard hair using his special procedure called uGraft to repair the patient. uGraft is an advanced form of the follicular unit extraction (FUE) procedure.

The video of his FUE hair restoration shows the patient’s phenomenal results. Thirty-six months post-surgery, loss of hair is no longer a concern. Dr. Umar is the world’s best in body hair transplantation and hair transplant repair. His clients come from all over the world and many have been referred by other hair transplant doctors as “hopeless” situations.

The “strip harvesting” method takes donor hair from the place of thickest hair density: the back of the head. Besides leaving a strip scar, this method may leave the patient with a severe, unnatural-looking hairline.

This patient had that experience at a previous clinic. He came to Dr. Umar for an FUE hairline restoration, desiring less hair density in that area. Dr. Umar transplanted 1,000 FUE grafts for a hairline restoration that would achieve a more natural look.

Do you need a hairline restoration or more natural hair density? Watch this video to see the results of an FUE procedure.

A previous “strip harvesting” procedure left this patient with strip scars, a pluggy hairline, and an unfilled crown. He badly needed a crown hair restoration, but lacked sufficient scalp donor hair. Using a body hair transplant of 9000 grafts from the patient’s beard, chest, nape of neck, and head, Dr. Umar achieved a total crown hair restoration. The patient came to him with a receding hairline, crown hair loss, and strip scar from a previous procedure. Using the FUE method, 2900 grafts were taken from the patient’s head and nape of his neck, and 300 from the beard. The hair restoration looks natural and full.

This patient had undergone a previous hair transplant using “strip harvesting.” The result was two terrible strip scars. Using body hair transplantation with FUE technology, Dr. Umar moved 1200 hairs follicles to cover the strip scar. One of the many advantages of body hair transplantation is that it makes the pool of donor hair virtually limitless. And a great benefit of FUE technology is that there is no visible scarring.

Now, this patient’s incredible results completely camouflage his strip scar. Watch this video to see how body hair transplantation using FUE technology could be your solution.

This African American hair loss patient had a previous “strip harvesting” transplant and FUE hair transplant. One procedure left him with a strip surgery scar, and the other with insubstantial growth after 1 year. African American hair loss, being as prevalent as within any other ethnicity, is correctable via Dr. Umar’s FUE hair transplant method. Even a strip surgery scar can be vastly improved. Dispersing a total of 1200 grafts to the crown, hairline, and strip surgery scar, Dr. Umar eliminated the patient’s hair loss concerns.

This patient presented to Dr. Umar having had a previous hair transplant surgery that did NOT use follicular unit extraction for transplantation. The result was a visible strip scar. Using the FUE hair transplantation method, Dr. Umar was able to drastically minimize the patient’s strip scar.

The “strip harvesting method” may not only leave an embarrassing strip scar, but it also limits the number of donor hair to 5,000-7,000 follicles. The follicular unit extraction method increases the donor supply.

Several studies on hair loss have shown that the general time between initially noticing hair loss and seeking treatment is about six years. This is definitely more understandable because of the fact that hair loss is on average a gradual process. There is almost always that sad denial stage, and then the phase that patients hope that their hair loss will magically reverse itself and return to it’s natural site. Unfortunately, when looking at the history of hair loss within your family and the hair loss patterns of parents and close relatives, the inevitable is difficult to face. As with any condition, the sooner hair restoration treatment is commenced , the better the outcome. Many patients undergoing hair restoration surgery are becoming younger and younger each year. Starting hair loss treatment early is beneficial for the patient for a variety of reasons.

If you would like additional information about Dr. Umar and his procedures for hair loss, please contact the DermHair Clinic in Los Angeles.
This patient’s severe baldness was exacerbated by bad transplants and several failed restoration surgeries done elsewhere. The aftermath:

Several large widened strip scars that wrapped around his head.

Scars in the crown and front from an attempt to suture a wig permanently to his head.

Poorly angled large plugs consisting of five- to six-hairs.

Severe pitting.

Depleted donor supply from his head.

He was told by several hair transplant doctors and clinics that he was beyond repair, and would have to wait for hair cloning or hair multiplication. By the time he came to Dr. Umar, he was desperate.

Using Follicular Unit Extraction, Dr. Umar transplanted over 16,000 grafts from the man’s chest, stomach area, arms and legs, along with 2,000 grafts from his beard and another 1,500 grafts from the nape of his neck.

By the time he was finished, Dr. Umar restored the patient’s receding hairline from and hid his scars, a hair transplant repair that would be impossible to achieve using outdated methods.

Curious about ways to repair failed transplants? Contact Dr. Umar for a free online consultation today.
